StraighterLine, in partnership with Brookhaven College and the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), has been selected to participate in the U.S. Department of Education’s EQUIP pilot program. Through this program, students – for the first time – have the opportunity to access federal financial aid for online courses taken at StraighterLine.
This innovative online program provides students an opportunity to earn one of two associate degrees entirely online: an associate degree in business, or an associate degree in criminal justice. It also serves as an affordable pathway for students into a bachelor’s degree program.
Unique to this program, students will be able to complete more than 50% of their coursework through StraighterLine and have access to federal financial aid. The associate degree and credit earned through the program will be awarded by Brookhaven College.
Students should be aware that Brookhaven College retains the final authority as to admissions of all students into the Straighterline-Brookhaven College program.
